We cannot provide immigration advice.

In Winchester, you can get some local advice from Citizen’s Advice Winchester District about how to access free legal advice which we call legal aid in the UK.

You can also click on the following organisations/services which are not based in Winchester but may be able to assist you.

If you are an asylum seeker and trying to navigate the asylum system the Right to Remain Toolkit is available online for free. You can access it here.

The toolkit provides a step by step guide to the UK asylum and immigration system. It is free to access and provides very clear information and can help you to understand your rights.

Unfortunately, we live in an area where there is not local legal advice (legal aid) for asylum seekers easily available but we signpost you to organisations that may be able to help.

Find a Legal Aid Advisor for England and Wales & Scotland and Northern Ireland if you need an immigration solicitor and are on low income. Legal aid is not “public funds” for the purpose of immigration rules, so you can apply even if you are on a visa that doesn’t normally give you access to public funds (such as benefits).

Ukrainian Legal aid is an international consortium of solicitors, and can be contacted online. You can also contact the Immigration Advice Service for free legal advice, using the contact form on their website.

Advice Ukraine focus on immigration in and to the UK, and can be contacted at [email protected]
