Dear Friends,
Landmark Action on 21st March 2022.
We need your help to show the depth and breadth of support for a more compassionate approach to refugees.
Please let your MP know that you want a more compassionate approach to refugees. Weโre hoping the landmark actions will help warm up MPs to support reforms to the Nationality and Borders Bill by the time it returns to the Commons towards the end of March (timing to be confirmed).
Leading up to the 21st March 2022 and on the day we are asking you to join us in Winchester as members of the Together with Refugees coalition by putting an orange heart in your window at home, or work, in your car window or somewhere in your local community to show your solidarity and support for refugees. How we treat refugees reflects who we are. We are calling for a kinder, fairer and compassionate approach to refugees.
Please be as creative as you can and share your ideas with us
- Add an orange heart to your Twitter or Facebook profile;
- Shareย this gifย and ask friends and family to share it too. Add your own message. If you have a Twitter account you can share itย from here;
- Printย this window signย showing you stand in solidarity with refugees and put it in a public facing window.
- If possible, take a photo and share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #TogetherWithRefugees #RefugeesWelcome #WinchesterCityofSanctuary #CityofSanctuary
Thank you for all your support. It really does make a difference because how we treat refugees reflects who we are.
