We are delighted to announce that expressions of interest are now open for all to take part in Space for Sanctuary – a large community music and cross arts project in Winchester Cathedral – Wednesday 23rd November 2022

Space for Sanctuary is an innovative music and cross arts event where contributors bring their own music, art, poetry, theatre, dance, on the theme of sanctuary to share plus join with others in the wonderful space of Winchester Cathedral.

Space for Sanctuary is a chance to come together in the wonderful surroundings of Winchester Cathedral and join our voices to celebrate our diversity & unity, to stand with our fellow humans seeking sanctuary and to declare that every person is welcome here in Winchester and beyond.

All are welcome to bring their instrumental or choral music, words, poems, movement, dance, and visual arts. This includes all musicians, vocalists, choirs, schools, local groups, individuals, caterers, artists, crafters, photographers etc of all ages and stages. These could be from Primary Schools, colleges, Secondary Schools, community groups, choirs, ensembles, dance groups, professionals, amateurs, faith groups, individuals, everyone is welcome.

Upon signing up you will receive more detailed information in September regarding exactly how the event is going to work with Music as the framework and space for all contributions to be part of the event.
