Winchester City Council is committed to become a City of Sanctuary and supporting our new Ukrainian friends, as well as all refugees fleeing violence and persecution anywhere in the world.
There has been a hub running throughout the month of June on a Tuesday, where Ukrainian guests can access support and key services and meet in a safe environment.
The hub will be reducing to once a month from July and the next hub will be on Tuesday 12th July 2022, from 10am – 4pm.
The City Council’s friendly support staff will be available to help with:
- Housing advice: Winchester City Council Housing team
- Accessing job opportunities, information on benefits: Department of Work and Pensions / Job Centre
- General support and advice: Citizens Advice Winchester District and other local organisations
WCC teams will be able to advise on what support is available and do their best to answer any questions you might have. Translation services will also be also available.
You will find the support hub in Winchester city centre at the Guildhall in the Courtyard Room. Please access via the Visitor Information Centre in the high street, a short walk from King Alfred’s statue.
